Senior School

Developing a Curious Mind.

Whether you are exploring the physics of everyday objects, creating masterpieces or trading stock, our curriculum is diverse and challenging. It plays a significant role in assisting our girls to identify their interests and strengths. Camberwell Girls develop a love of learning from the earliest years. They are academically motivated and hold depth of knowledge in many areas. They know how to think critically and creatively and are highly competent in research, writing, communication and the use of ICT. They leave the School with global perspectives and a determination to pursue their dreams.

A strong work ethic and a positive environment ensure that our VCE results are consistently among the best in Victoria.

In Years 7 to 10, a broad curriculum based on academic disciplines is deigned to build deep knowledge and delay narrowing of options for as long as possible. A rich variety of core subjects caters for a range of student needs and talents and electives are introduced from Year 9. These options allow the girls to explore areas of interest and make wise decisions when selecting VCE subjects.

The VCE is a significant stepping stone to further study and a career.

Our girls have a love of learning, a culture of wanting to achieve their best and a belief that they can reach their goals. As students progress through these years, they make decisions about careers and tertiary courses. Most go on to study at a university in Australia, while some complete their tertiary studies overseas.

Our Careers Counsellor plays a vital role in assisting students to identify their interests and strengths as they discover pathways to future careers.
