Father’s Day Challenge!
The Parents and Friends Association wishes all the CGGS dads a Happy Father’s Day this Sunday.
Although we are unable to hold the much loved Father’s Day Breakfast, the PFA would like to continue the tradition of the Father’s Day Challenge Cup, with a friendly competition between father and daughter.
We are asking for CGGS dads and daughters to find an activity you can enjoy together. It may be a game of soccer or basketball with make shift goals, a dance off, a game of cards or Uno, a cooking competition or a hool-a-hoop challenge…anything at all.
The PFA would like families to post the results of their activity with a photo or short video to Yammer for Senior students and Padlet for Junior students, by the end of Tuesday 8 September, via the links below.
Scores will then be tallied and the 2020 Junior and Senior Father/Daughter Cups will be awarded to either the Fathers or Daughters.
Some challenges have already been contested. These dads and daughters enjoyed a friendly water themed Lego competition and a cycling challenge.
What fun activity will you do in the Father’s Day Challenge?

The Class of 2019 gathered on Zoom for their Zoom-union on Tuesday evening.
They commenced their get together with a CGGS quiz, guessing the baby photos of some of their teachers, the CGGS gardener’s name and other fun facts about the school. Approximately 38 grammarians attended and watched a slide show bringing back many memories of their time at school, some since Prep. It was great to see their enthusiasm and excitement at being reconnected to each other. A face to face reunion will take place once restrictions have lifted.
The Class of 2015 gathered on Wednesday to celebrate their 5 year Zoom-union. They were also entertained with a slide show, going back many years highlighting sporting events, musicals, camps, trips and so much more. The group couldn’t believe that five years has passed since leaving school. They will also enjoy a face to face reunion in 2021.
