An Anglican
School
Camberwell Girls Grammar School began in the hall of St Mark’s Anglican Church.
This Christian foundation remains vital for the School today. Girls of all faiths and backgrounds are warmly welcomed and respected.
Christian Identity
Our Christian identity offers strong guidance in our care of each other and challenges us to be of service in the local community and the broader world. School assemblies always include a bible reading, prayer, hymn and reflection. Our school values of integrity, commitment, respect, hope and courage along with our tradition of service and social justice, are grounded in a Christian worldview.
School Chaplain
Our School Chaplain, Revd Helen Creed is an ordained minister in the Anglican Church of Australia. She nurtures the Christian life of the school and her door is always open. Students experience the beauty of worship in the Anglican tradition, as well as the refreshment of stillness and prayer through regular assemblies, services in the School Chapel and in St Mark’s Church.
